The event, presided over by <strong>President F\u00e9lix-Antoine Tshisekedi Tshilombo<\/strong> and Lualaba Governor Fifi Masuka, marks a turning point in the modernization of the city\u2019s urban infrastructure.<\/p>\n<h3 data-start=\"688\" data-end=\"728\">A Landmark Infrastructure Project for the Heart of the Copperbelt<\/h3>\n<p data-start=\"729\" data-end=\"902\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignleft size-medium wp-image-6284\" src=\"\/content\/uploads\/2025\/08\/Premier-echangeur-kolwezi-300x225.jpg\" alt=\"The first interchange in the city of Kolwezi, built by Groupe Forrest companies, was inaugurated in June 2025.\" width=\"300\" height=\"225\" srcset=\"https:\/\/forrestgroup.com\/content\/uploads\/2025\/08\/Premier-echangeur-kolwezi-300x225.jpg 300w, https:\/\/forrestgroup.com\/content\/uploads\/2025\/08\/Premier-echangeur-kolwezi-1024x767.jpg 1024w, https:\/\/forrestgroup.com\/content\/uploads\/2025\/08\/Premier-echangeur-kolwezi-768x575.jpg 768w, https:\/\/forrestgroup.com\/content\/uploads\/2025\/08\/Premier-echangeur-kolwezi-1536x1150.jpg 1536w, https:\/\/forrestgroup.com\/content\/uploads\/2025\/08\/Premier-echangeur-kolwezi.jpg 1560w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 300px) 100vw, 300px\" \/>The Kolwezi interchange is only the second of its kind in the entire Democratic Republic of Congo, following the Limite Interchange in Kinshasa.<\/p>\n<p data-start=\"918\" data-end=\"1080\">Designed and built by <strong data-start=\"940\" data-end=\"984\"><a href=\"https:\/\/forrestgroup.com\/en\/business\/entreprise-generale-malta-forrest\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Entreprise G\u00e9n\u00e9rale Malta Forrest<\/a> (EGMF)<\/strong> together with <a href=\"https:\/\/forrestgroup.com\/en\/business\/congo-energy\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\"><strong data-start=\"999\" data-end=\"1015\">Congo Energy<\/strong><\/a>, both subsidiaries of the Forrest Group, the project features:<\/p>\n<ul data-start=\"1081\" data-end=\"1217\">\n<li data-start=\"1081\" data-end=\"1114\">\n<p data-start=\"1083\" data-end=\"1114\">2.5 kilometers of paved road,<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<li data-start=\"1115\" data-end=\"1157\">\n<p data-start=\"1117\" data-end=\"1157\">two major bridges of 57 and 21 meters,<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<li data-start=\"1158\" data-end=\"1217\">\n<p data-start=\"1160\" data-end=\"1217\">and a solar-powered lighting system of 154 streetlamps.<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p data-start=\"1160\" data-end=\"1217\"><span style=\"font-size: 1.8rem;\">\u201cThis is an extraordinary project. Forrest<\/strong><span style=\"font-size: 1.8rem;\">, CEO of the Forrest Group.<\/span><\/p>\n<h3 data-start=\"1291\" data-end=\"1329\">Transforming Mobility in Kolwezi<\/h3>\n<p data-start=\"1402\" data-end=\"1641\">Located in one of the busiest traffic zones of the city, the new interchange is expected to significantly ease congestion, improve road safety, and boost trade and mobility across Kolwezi, the capital of the cobalt-rich Lualaba province.<\/p>\n<p data-start=\"1643\" data-end=\"1790\">\u201cIn terms of scale, technical design, and impact, this interchange represents a spectacular leap forward for mobility in Kolwezi,\u201d added Forrest.<\/p>\n<h3 data-start=\"1726\" data-end=\"1764\">A Congolese Achievement<\/h3>\n<p data-start=\"1765\" data-end=\"1936\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignright size-medium wp-image-6278\" src=\"\/content\/uploads\/2025\/08\/Inauguration-echangeur-kolwezi-malta-d-forrest-200x300.jpg\" alt=\"Malta D.
