The CMC (Centre M\u00e9dical de la Communaut\u00e9<\/a>) has opened a gastroenterology department in its hospital in Lubumbashi.<\/p>\n

What is Gastroenterology?<\/h2>\n

Gastroenterology is the specialty of medicine that studies diseases of the organs of the digestive tract: esophagus, stomach, small intestine, colon, anus, liver and pancreas.<\/p>\n

Who is concerned?<\/h2>\n

Diseases of the organs of the digestive tract can affect men and women of all ages, although serious diseases occur mostly after 50 years. Children can also suffer from it.<\/p>\n
